Two more Michelin tires have been added to the EPA SmartWay program, giving the company more SmartWay-certified tires than any other manufacturer, it claims. The two models recently SmartWay certified include a drive tire and a trailer tire. Michelin was also recognized for using only SmartWay-approved carriers to transport its products.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Two more Michelin X One wide-base single tires have been accepted into the EPA SmartWay program.

The Michelin X One XDN 2 drive tire and the X One XTE trailer tires have been SmartWay-certified, according to the company. Michelin claims it has more SmartWay-certified tires than any other tire manufacturer.

Michelin also received a SmartWay Excellence award in 2007 for its efforts as a shipper. The company uses SmartWay-approved carriers to transport its products.
