An environmentally-friendly fuel hose from Gates Corp., helps prevent vapor loss for improved fuel efficiency, according to the company. Called the Barricade, the new hose is compatible with any engine application using a conventional carburetor. The company’s patent-pending five-layer Greenshield liner prevents hydrocarbon vapors from escaping through the body of fuel line hoses as fuel is conveyed from the vehicle’s storage tank to the engine.

The Gates Corp. is introducing a new fuel hose design that helps prevents vapor loss for improved fuel efficiency and environmental compliance.

Dubbed the Barricade, Gates said the new hose is designed for virtually any engine application that’s equipped with a conventional carburetor, including trucks, cars, tractors, and lawn and garden equipment.
