As the implementation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010) model approaches, the agency is releasing documents to help those affected understand the program. CSA 2010 is all about reducing crash risk

Truckers can expect to see more roadside inspections after the implementation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010) model later this year. Analyst predicts driver shortage, but no double-dip recession

Near-term projections for the trucking industry indicate a slow, steady climb to reaching previous peak sales levels, but not without some new challenges along the way. Specifically, FTR Associates President Eric Starks told industry representatives at the Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference in Dallas that CSA 2010 could ultimately create a driver shortage. New CSA analysis: Risk up for small carriers

Recent revisions to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010) performance model on the surface seem kinder to larger fleets, while harsher on smaller ones. After another round of assessments with the revision, research shows that smaller fleets are at greater risk for an intervention. Carriers’ BASIC assessments now available

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) made preliminary scores based on its Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010) model available to fleets last week, allowing companies to identify unsafe behaviors and address safety compliance issues.
