Thermo King is offering several options to help drivers get ready for winter. Its Extreme Arctic Option for TriPac auxiliary power units helps cut idle-related costs by up to 85 percent. Another option, its Extreme Arctic Package helps reduce cold start damage to tractor engines, which now includes an ambient switch to allow the unit to run continuously when temperatures drop to 0 degrees F and to shut off automatically at 10 degrees F. The optional package for TriPac includes both a coolant and an oil heater, which ensures that cold weather starting problems are a thing of the past and that engine wear is similar to that of warm weather starts. Thermo King is also offering a number of rebates on Espar heaters through Dec. 31, 2010.

Thermo King said it is ready to help customers get ready for winter with solutions for saving fuel and cutting costs, no matter how cold it gets. According to the company, the Extreme Arctic Option for TriPac auxiliary power units helps save during the coldest weather. With winter on the way, truckers can cut idle-related costs by up to 85% and stay warm and comfortable as temperatures drop with Thermo King’s TriPac APUs.

To give extra protection to tractor engines in extremely cold climates, the Extreme Arctic package, which reduces cold start damage to tractor engines, now includes an ambient switch to allow the unit to run continuously when temperatures drop to 0 degrees F and to shut off automatically at 10 degrees F.

Small- and medium-sized trucking companies are getting the buying power of the big boys, thanks to a partnership between ThermoKing and TruckersB2B. TruckersB2B members are eligible for rebates of up to $250 on select ThermoKing equipment. Companies should contact local ThermoKing dealers, who will negotiate pricing, and members will receive their rebates from TruckersB2B.

MINNEAPOLIS — It’s not often small fleets get the purchasing discounts of large players, but Thermo King has partnered with TruckersB2B to offer some relief.

Thermo King’s new rebate program will be extended to TruckersB2B members and will be available on select Thermo King equipment. Members of TruckersB2B will be eligible for the following rebates: a $200 rebate on each TriPac APU System, a $250 rebate on each SB+ Series Unit, and a $250 rebate on each Spectrum Multi-Temp Refrigeration Unit.

Five rebates will be available for each item per calendar year, per member.

All sales will be handled by the members’ local Thermo King dealers, who will negotiate the sale prices with the members themselves. Members will then receive their rebates from TruckersB2B.

“We’re excited to be working with Thermo King to be able to help small fleets and owner operators save on some of the leading APU and refrigeration units in the industry,” says Danielle Vidaurre, director of sales with TruckersB2B.

TruckersB2B is a membership program that provides savings to small- and medium-sized trucking companies. With rebates and discounts from industry-leading vendors, TruckersB2B aims to bring volume buying power to smaller trucking companies and private fleets.
