New numbers released by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) show more and more commercial truck drivers are buckling up. In 2010, seat belt usage rose to 78 percent, up 4 percent from 2009. Overall, the numbers are up 14 percent from data collected in 2007. The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) is reaching out to industry stakeholders to gauge what they believe are trucking’s top concerns. The 2010 Top Industry Issues Survey asks participants to rank the industry’s top issues and provide strategies for addressing them.
